Sour Ale Feijoa + Blood Plum

A fruited kettle sour ale conditioned on feijoa + blood plum.

It’s been a while since we experimented with two new fruits in a sour and we’re sure glad we did. This light kettle sour pours a beautiful dark pink colour brought about by the blood plum. It’s tart up front, with an acidic undertone which really lets the feijoa shine through. There is a distinct but approachable sweetness which brings out a distinctive pineapple flavour derived from the feijoa. The balance between plum sweetness and feijoa acidic tartness is in our eyes what makes this beer so delightful. This is one of the more interesting sours we’ve ever brewed and we love it!
